Convenor Report 2008

Page history last edited by John Laurie 13 years, 9 months ago

ITSIG’s only activity of note in the past 12 months was the workshop held in conjunction with the AGM at the 2007 LIANZA Conference. The main topics presented and discussed were:

  • Podcasting in library instruction - talk by Angela Jowitt (UCOL)
  • ResearchSpace@Auckland, the University of Auckland institutional repository - talk by Vanessa Newton-Wade (University of Auckland)
  • EZproxy advanced techniques, eg, for password-authenticated databases - talk by Bob Pearson (University of Auckland)
  •

The ITSIG Wiki has gained some additional material, mainly a page of NZ library blogs and a group of pages for PUBSIG.

ITSIG is again running a workshop at the LIANZA Conference in 2008.

Members of the ITSIG Committee for the past year were Bob Pearson (Convenor; University of Auckland), John Laurie (Treasurer; University of Auckland), Peter Kennedy     (University of Canterbury), Paul Sutherland (Christchurch City Libraries ) and Andrew White (Lincoln University).
